Colleagues,
Welcome to the PART 2 newsletter of the close season. As preparations continue for the new season 2019-2020, the purpose of this newsletter is to let you know about a number of important items.
REGISTRATION FOR SEASON 2019-2020
Those officials currently registered with the League do not need to re-register for the coming season. However, if any of your details have changed such as mobile phone, e-mail address, please let Tony Weight (weighttony@gmail.com) know as soon as possible. Under the GDPR regulations, we need to ask you to agree that we continue to keep your personal information for another season. Please let Tony Weight know if you do not agree.
If you have colleagues who wish to register with the League for the first time, please use this link to access the Referee Registration form; https://forms.gle/QrEevgKTRoqAqM2K8
PRE-SEASON MEETINGS
The meeting for Level 4 Referees and Observers will take place on Monday 15th July at Beds FA, Skimpot Road, Dunstable. All Level 4 referees must attend this meeting. If any Level 4 cannot attend, then they must contact Peter Clayton (peterjohnclayton@hotmail.com) to advise and explain their absence. The meeting will start at 730pm.
Two meetings will be held for Level 5, 6 and 7 and newly registered referees, the first on Thursday 11th July at Beds FA, the second on the 18th July at London Lions FC. All meetings will commence at 730pm. Please let Tony know which meeting you will be attending.
TEMPRARY DISMISSALS – ‘SIN BINS’
The 4 meetings organised by the League, presented by Mark Ives from the Football Association have now been completed. Over 280 club officials, referees, observers and management Committee members attended. This is a major change to the Laws of the Game and it is vital that all referees registered with the League have attended either one of the League meetings or a County FA training session. Please remember that appointments will only be given to referees who have met these requirements.
MATCH REPORT FORMS
Match report forms will be available to collect at the Pre-Season meetings and the Fitness Assessments. Please note that we will not be posting them out to referees. There will be a number of people from whom report forms can be collected. These will be notified nearer the start of the season.
FITNESS ASSESSMENTS
Dates are:
July 7th and 28th at Stockwood Park, Luton
August 4th at the Dacorum Athletics Track, Hemel Hempstead. All assessments commence at 10am.
LAWS OF THE GAME CHANGES
Some really important changes to the Laws, apart from Sin Bins. Attached is a document outlining the changes. These will be covered in detail at the Pre-Season meetings.
ON-LINE LEAGUE HANDBOOK
The on-line League Handbook will be accessible in late July. Further details will follow.
